Ocean Winds chooses Siemens Gamesa turbines for BC‑Wind offshore project in Poland

Geotechnical surveys begin for Lillebælt South offshore wind farm

Work has started on geotechnical surveys for the planned Lillebælt South offshore wind farm in Denmark. Following a month of seabed test drilling in Jammerland Bay in the Great Belt, investigations are now under way in the Little Belt. Over the next few months a mobile jack-up drilling platform will carry out drilling and testing at 11 planned turbine locations at Lillebælt South.
Enercon adds green steel option to tower models

Next Geosolutions to support Bay of Biscay interconnection and Dutch offshore wind projects

Next Geosolutions has been awarded two new contracts by Prysmian. The first contract concerns the Bay of Biscay interconnection, a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable system linking coastal areas of Spain and France. Between 2025 and 2027, Next Geosolutions will prepare the route and provide seabed services ahead of the cable installation phase to be carried out by Prysmian.
Clearway commissions Dan’s Mountain wind farm in Maryland

Clearway Energy Group has brought the 55 MW Dan’s Mountain Wind Farm online in Allegany County, Maryland, USA. The project comprises nine GE Vernova turbines and operates under a long-term power purchase agreement with Maryland-based Constellation.

UK adjusts auction rules for wind energy in AR7 round

The United Kingdom has raised the strike price caps for wind technologies in the forthcoming AR7 Contracts for Difference auction. These caps are now £113 per megawatt hour for fixed-bottom offshore wind, £271 per megawatt hour for floating offshore wind, and £92 per megawatt hour for onshore and remote island wind, based on 2024 prices.
Skyborn enters Preferred Supplier Agreement with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier for Gennaker offshor wind farm
