The Nordex reported a stable financial performance for the first quarter of 2025. Turbine assembly reached 1,210 MW during the quarter, a 3 percent increase from 1,171 MW in Q1 2024. Rotor blade production grew by 14 percent to 1,188 units (Q1 2024: 1,039 units). Of these, 458 blades were produced in-house, while 730 units were sourced externally.

The company installed 180 wind turbines across 12 countries in the first quarter of 2025, totalling 1,046 MW. This compares to 227 turbines with a combined capacity of 1,103 MW in Q1 2024. Of the newly installed capacity, 75 percent was in Europe, 19 percent in Latin America, and 6 percent in North America.

Sales reached € 1,435 million, slightly below the € 1,574 million recorded in the same period of 2024, primarily due to lower installation volumes and production scheduling. Total performance, which includes changes in inventories, increased by approximately 7 percent to € 1.6 billion (Q1 2024: € 1.5 billion).

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by around 53 percent to € 79.6 million, up from € 52.1 million in Q1 2024. The EBITDA margin improved to 5.5 percent, compared to 3.3 percent in the same quarter last year.

In the Projects segment, the company recorded order intake of 2,182 MW, a 5 percent increase on the 2,086 MW registered in Q1 2024. The total value of new orders rose by 7 percent to € 1.9 billion (Q1 2024: € 1.8 billion). Orders came from 10 different countries and covered a range of turbine variants.

As of March 2025, the Nordex Group’s total order book stood at € 13.5 billion, up from € 11.1 billion in March 2024. This included € 8.2 billion in the Projects segment (Q1 2024: € 7.3 billion) and € 5.2 billion in the Service segment (Q1 2024: € 3.8 billion).

Sales in the Projects segment reached € 1.2 billion, down from € 1.4 billion in the same period last year. The Service segment continued to grow, with sales rising by 19 percent to € 197 million (Q1 2024: € 166 million).
