Vestas has assumed operations at the onshore blade factory in Goleniów near Szczecin, Poland, previously owned by LM Wind Power, a GE Vernova company. The takeover follows an agreement signed on 15 May 2025 and the completion of regulatory approvals.

The factory, established in 2009 and expanded in 2017, will continue producing blades for Vestas’ onshore turbines, including the V172-7.2 MW EnVentus model. Around 400 employees from LM Wind Power have been retained, bringing Vestas’ workforce in Poland to nearly 2,000. Vestas also operates an assembly facility in Szczecin producing hubs and nacelles for the V236-15.0 MW offshore turbine.
