Natural Power has been awarded with the Ground Investigation contracts for the 75MW Mid Hill I and 40MW Rothes II wind farms by Fred.Olsen Renewables. Mid Hill wind farm is located in Fetteresso Forest, Nr Stonehavan, Aberdeenshire and will comprise of 25 turbines with construction expected to begin late 2011. Rothes II, Moray, will consist of 18 turbines.

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order from VAPAT for two projects in Spain with a total capacity of 92MW. The company will supply 46 x V90-2.0 MW turbines for the projects Brulles and Los Zapateros, located in Burgos, Spain.

Siemens Energy has secured another order for an offshore wind power plant in Germany with a total capacity of 288MW. For the project Meerwind Süd and Meerwind Ost the company will deliver 80 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.6MW and a rotor diameter of 120 meters each.
