Siemens Energy has contracted EST-Floattech to supply the battery system for a new commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) being built by Marco Polo Marine at its shipyard in Batam, Indonesia. Siemens Energy is the system integrator for the vessel’s hybrid power plant. EST-Floattech will supply an Octopus High Energy battery system with a capacity of more than 1 MWh. The system will support the vessel’s hybrid power plant and dynamic positioning (DP) operations.

Vestas has reported new wind turbine orders in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Australia as part of its third-quarter 2026 order intake. The announcements cover projects in Japan, Vietnam, Germany, Austria, Romania and Australia, with several including long-term service agreements. In Japan, Vestas has received an order for 55 MW comprising 13 V136-4.2 MW turbines. The order includes a 20-year service agreement. Delivery is planned for the first quarter of 2029, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter.

deugro’s airfreight department transported 162 cubic metres of time-critical equipment from China to Germany on nine consecutive direct flights, supporting continued production at a wind turbine generator and component manufacturing facility. The shipment comprised nine Stator Pack Mach Steel units with a combined weight of 74.25 tonnes. The heaviest unit weighed more than 7.5 tonnes and measured 346 × 346 × 148 cm. The dimensions were close to the maximum capacity limits of scheduled airfreight services.
