Dogger Bank Wind Farm has signed a contract with Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, to charter a second turbine installation vessel to support the continued development of the offshore wind project off the coast of England.

Suzlon has secured a 100.8 MW engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) wind power order from Sunsure Energy, marking the latter’s entry into the wind energy sector. The project will be developed in the Jath region of Maharashtra, India.

Goldwind has announced the start of commercial operations at the 500 MW Red Sea Wind Farm in Egypt. The project features 84 units of its GW165-6.0MW turbines and represents Goldwind’s first wind power development in the country.

Offshore construction work for the Empire Wind 1 offshore wind farm has been suspended following a directive from the United States Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). The decision affects all construction activity on the outer continental shelf related to the project. On 17 April 2025, Empire Offshore Wind notified foundation manufacturer Sif and the broader market of the halt, which stems from a BOEM order issued a day earlier. The order requires all offshore construction to be paused while BOEM completes its review of the project.

The United States Department of the Interior (DOI) has issued a stop-work order for the Empire Wind 1 offshore wind project, located approximately 15 to 30 miles south of Long Island, New York. Announced on 16 April 2025 by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, the order halts construction while a full review of the project’s permitting process is carried out.

RWE and the town of Bedburg are jointly constructing nine additional wind turbines with a combined capacity of approximately 60 MW on recultivated land at the Garzweiler open-cast mine. The new development, known as Windpark Bedburg 3, will bring the total installed wind power capacity in the municipality to 156 MW.
